Learn how to surf in the amazing Fuerteventura Island with Canary Surf Academy!
With our Surf courses, you will enjoy surfing from the first lesson!
The course will be made by a qualified instructor. Beginners and intermediates courses are availables and after the articulation warm up and the introduction of the surf spot you will learn the safety rules; the basics of surfing or what you need to improve your technique will be explained first on the beach and than in the water.
You will be informed about the respect and use of the equipment, about conditions and locations where the activity will take place.

We pick up and drop off customers at the accommodation.
The class lasts approximately 2.5 hours. The course plus the transportation to the surf spot will take aproximatly 4-5 hours.

Beginner Surf Course
Previous experience:
No previous experience is necessary, be confident in the water
Course content:
- Beach and water safety theory
- Introduction to equipment
- Surfing basics: prone surfing, paddling, standing up and introduction to turning
- Basic weather and tide theory
Improvers surf course
Previous experience:
- Mastered the basics of surfing
- Can stand up fairly consistently in white water (broken wave)
- Can turn left and right on white water (broken wave)
Course content:
- Re-cap on the basics of surfing
- Beach and water safety
- Stance and paddling techniques
- Getting out back techniques
- Catching and riding green waves (un-broken waves)
- Wipe out techniques
- Weather, wave and tide theory
Intermediate surf course
Previous experience:
- Can catch and ride unbroken waves
- Comfortable going both directions
- Reasonable paddle fitness
Course content:
- Beach and water safety
- Stance, Positioning and take off
- Wave selection
- Turning
- Surf theory
- Surf fitness
All surf courses includes:
